 Famotidine is a most commonly used antacid belonging to the class H2 blockers. It decreases acid secretion in stomach. Dose and route of administration of famotidine

It has 40 mg tablet which can be taken once a day at bed time.
Your doctor may also divide your dose as 20 mg tablet twice a day
